Chris Van Dyck is a seasoned former financial regulatory attorney having worked at the Maine Bureau of Financial Institutions for six years. Following his time as a financial regulator, he was the General Counsel, BSA Officer, Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer at a credit union in Maine for close to ten years.Chris's legal background spans three countries and two continents. Before moving to the Maine in 2001, he was part of a team of attorneys at a leading law firm in Bristol, England, assisting the U.K. government in its implementation of Britain's train privatization. Prior to this, he worked at one of Canada's leading law firms in Toronto as a commercial litigator. He is a partner at the Cogent Law Group where he specializes in providing assistance to financial services firms involved in higher risk accounts and emerging financial markets.
