I am a Professional Engineer registered under the Engineering Council of South Africa. During the past 30 years I gained a vast amount of experience within the mining, industrial and commercial sector. worked close with professional engineers, scientists and technicians. The experienced gained as Engineer was within various fields of expertise.Starting as Engineer in Training at Iscor Works in Vanderbijlpark gained a fundamental amount of experience within the maintenance field on heavy machinery mechanical as well as electrical. . In this period also worked close with management consultants addressing the softer issues of "Leadership" and "Business Process Re-Engineering" and also designed a couple of business processes.Left the company in 1996 and was Self-Employed since today, gaining a vast experience in Construction projects within the Industrial, Commercial and Minning Industry with expertise in the Design, Installation and commissioning of Electrical Power Distribution and Electrification from LV to 88KV Substation, reticulation.Design and Installation and commissioning of Motor Control Centre’s (MCC) and Electrical Distribution for Mill Plants, Solvent Extraction Plants, Electro winning Plants, FE Precipitation and Cu/Co Leach as well as Agitated Leach dosing Plants.Design and installation and commissioning of Process Automation and Instrumentation on Cu/Co SX Plants, Cu Electro-Winning Plants, Organic Centrifuge Plants, Agitated leach Plants as well as various Milling and Crusher Plants.Specialised Compliance Certification in Electrical installations, Industrial and mining including Ex compliance and Motor Control Centre compliance inspections.Also within the mechanical field gained experience and did the Design and Installation as well as refurbishment of mill plant, wet services, process pumps and piping, mechanical structures and Drive-trains. As mentor I keep in touch with my Alma Mater assisting with student projects in the Electro-Mechanical field and consult with the responsible parties in the process of refining the Electro-Mechanical Engineering Department at the NWU, for it is my believe that in a developing countries we need engineers with a good knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical, with no limits to a challenge.I adopted the famous quote,
