Primary responsibility is transfer of existing High Speed Diesel product line from CMD to the Mercury Marine organization for global Sales, Service and Support, including Product Development of 3 new engine platforms.• Manage the strategic partnership between Mercury Marine and Volkswagen Industrial Group for supply of TDI engines.

Reporting to David Dwight Vice President Global Marketing, Sales and Integration of CMD.• Led make vs buy program for a new line of High Speed Diesels to meet upcoming EPA emissions regulations, utilizing 6 Sigma analysis tools. Determined that partnering with a third part diesel manufacture was best strategy to meet established criteria.• Lead negotiator and developer of a long term Supply Agreement with Volkswagen Group valued at $210M, for Marine exclusivity to VW/Audi TDI Diesel engines. This was a significant strategic achievement ensuring market share growth. • Program Leader for 3 concurrent new TDI engine development programs, managing a $15M development budget. Responsible and accountable to ensure the products achieved quality, durability and profit targets, including global marketing strategies. Performing monthly reviews with CMD executive staff and quarterly with the Board of Directors.

Directed the Mechatronics and Controls System Integration of Zeus®, Axius®, and Total Command® joystick controlled marine propulsion systems for Mercury Marine, Cummins MerCruiser Diesel and Brunswick Boat Group. Reporting to Jeff Ehlers, President of the MotoTron Division.• Contracted by Brunswick Executives to lead a cross divisional Technical Operating Committee for all Joystick Direction Control Programs. This led to synergies in strategies for production implementation of the various independent programs, Zeus®, Axius® and Total Command®, leveraging core competencies of each division reducing development time and product quality.• Key leader in the strategic high priority programs within Brunswick Corp, Mercury Marine, Brunswick Boat Group and Cummins MerCruiser Diesel.• Managing the integration of the Controls Systems software and architecture for various joystick controlled propulsion systems. Including specification requirements, man machine interface, ergonomics, OEM integration/application, vessel calibrations (joystick, autopilot, and steering), validation and service. Exceeded expectations of customers, providing intuitive vessel control resulting in winning multiple Industry awards for Innovation including Best Product of the Year.

Directed the revitalization of the fledging Bayliner Motor Yacht model line into the New Meridian Yacht line including brand positioning. In only 4 years becoming one of the most profitable brands within Brunswick. Awarded “Top Selling Sedan Bridge” in the US 6 years in row, going from 2% to over 20% market share in a non expanding market. Reported to JD Sienicki, Senior VP of Product Development of US Marine.• Directed the creation of 7 new models in 5 years, ranging from 36’ to 50’ with budgetary responsibility of over 25 million dollars in development costs. Inventing and integrating some of the most innovative features in the industry with the fundamental vision to make boating easier, safer and more reliable. • Developed and implemented new Multi Stage Gate processes throughout the Yacht development cycle that enabled our team to be successful at not only creating one outstanding yacht after another, but to do so on time, to budget, and meeting and often exceeding customer requirements. Validated by the awarded “Best production start-ups” in the 20+ years of yacht production in Arlington and highest sales volumes with continued market share growth in a non expanding market. • Appointed to provide Systems Engineering technical leadership in divisional and cross-divisional strategic initiatives, including the development of the new High Performance Product Development (HPPD) phase gate development processes utilized by all Brunswick divisions. • Provided Engineering expertise to Brunswick Corp Acquisition Group, assisting in the Due Diligence of strategic acquisitions including Navman electronics of New Zealand and Attwood Corp manufacture of seating and marine parts.

Directed all activities of a Marine Advanced Research Center, developing highly confidential, technologically driven innovations, which were strategic to the future growth of the Brunswick Marine Business. Reported to Fred Kiekhaefer, General Manager of Brunswick Research Group and President of Mercury Marine Racing Division.• Recruited and assembled a team of 17 top engineers, technicians and support staff from outside and within the Brunswick organizations. The mission was to create major innovations that would change a persons buying decision towards a Brunswick product based on the Voice of Customer (VOC) process.• Managed the creation of one of the most technologically advanced Research and Design facilities in the marine industry which eventually became the MotoTron Corporation Technical Integration Center in Oshkosh WI. • Created from concept to production, Control Max (Maxum), an innovation that provides precision docking maneuverability in a runabout via a joystick. It had been termed by the Brunswick Marine executives and consumers as “the most amazing consumer benefit since the advent of the sterndrive”, which was invented over 30 years ago.• Managed the creation of a Concept vessel to demonstrate that a large cruiser could be docked utilizing a joystick to simplify low speed maneuvering. 10 years later Mercury/CMD launched award winning Axius® joystick docking system.• Created additional major innovations involving advanced propulsion systems, active hydrodynamic surfaces, Computer controlled Network for integrating boat systems, integrated solid state digital DC systems, and Hybrid Electric Silent power systems
