I am proud of what Walker Group have achieved, founded by my dad over 30 years ago, the family business has developed and grown into a highly skilled, experienced, and versatile national Construction Company procuring contracting work for the NHBC and various property management companies. Working alongside my dad from the age of 15, until his retirement in 2016, gave me the passion, vision, and drive to move the business forward to the Construction Company we are today.My property and construction industry journey began with traditional building skills, purchasing small building plots and build to sell house in the local area; Kirkburton, Shepley, Meltham, Kirkheaton and various Yorkshire villages. By then Walkers were already an approved company of the NHBC, it was an inspector that recognised the quality of our work and asked us to work on his home which led onto Walker Group becoming one of the leading contractors for NHBC remedial works. Always looking for the best possible way to perform for our clients, 2003 was the turning point for Walker Group. I started to develop the business, build on my experience, our strengths, and successes. As the reputation of our workmanship and reliability grew, so did the team from 8 to 25 people. Knowledgeable, professional, experienced, versatile, and hardworking is how I would describe my team, most of whom have been with us for over 5 to 15 years.I take great satisfaction in our achievements; for our customers to date, continuing to develop the company, our services, the team and retaining family members working within the business; from mum in accounts to nephews starting as apprentices, one apprentice working his way up to site manager, and we are still growing.Walker Group have a reputation for overcoming the biggest of issues and always looking for new innovations within the construction industry. A true reflection of our workmanship and quality of service is that most of our business is through word of mouth and recommendation.
