Since building out our initial analytics capability as part of the product team, I have taken a lead in establishing an analytics function within the company. This has been done in step with the product function and I have worked to ensure our approach and strategy have been aligned. It has been important to ensure the analytics roadmap is in line and in.

Worked with stakeholders to understand needs and establish requirements for developing an in-house analytics capability at Overleaf. This included triaging a long list of questions and focusing development to answer the most impactful first.

With Potent Digital, I began offering technical copy and content writing services. Before long though, I moved more towards the technical and analytical side of digital marketing for startups and small businesses. This required a broad range of skills including SEO, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), digital strategy and designing and testing email.

In this role I established ecommerce sales channels on both marketplaces and standalone stores, with a focus on UK sales but also reaching into Europe. We became an exclusive distributer for some product lines in UK and Europe, negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers and logistics. Throughout, this role remained part time for me, with some subcontracted.

As the lone systems engineer I had the task of rewriting, or in some cases writing from scratch, company engineering processes and providing systems support across various projects.I played a key role in bids, writing technical papers, and shaping product development early on. Across various projects, this involved meeting with stakeholders to understand.

Led a multidisciplinary team tasked with transitioning research projects into product development. As well as working with complex technical requirements, commercial and capability inputs were vital for projects in this stage. Understanding stakeholder needs and strong collaboration were key as we worked with both internal and external partners to define.

Worked on high-profile projects across naval and airborne platforms. From brainstorming to delivery, I was involved in the full engineering lifecycle.During this time I worked on an innovative Technology Demonstrator Program, taking a lead in data modelling and trials data analysis. With some of the tooling and process changes I introduced, turn-around.
