Taking a break after 20 great years at Gas Strategies and looking forward to what the future may hold

Chris was with Gas Strategies for 20 years and has a very broad experience of the gas and LNG, and wider energy, business covering; project development, commercial structuring and contracts, strategy development, market and commercial due diligence, gas and LNG procurement, capacity sales and financings. In his recent work he has become more and more involved in energy transition issues supporting clients in assessing the risks and opportunities presented by the move to a low or zero carbon world. His recent assignments included support to a global infrastructure fund in the acquisition of a stake in a US liquefaction business, assessment of the impact of China's Net Zero policy announcement on gas and LNG supply in Asia Pacific, working with the management team of a gas distribution business to develop a strategy and five year business plan, working with an upstream company assessing the market value of future gas production in Europe, support to the developers of a proposed European LNG import scheme including leading the design and execution of a capacity sales process. Chris was responsible for building Gas Strategies’ due diligence advisory services for financial and strategic investors supporting them through the acquisition and divestment of major gas, LNG and energy infrastructure assets around the world. Recent transactions have included; advising the successful bidders on two middle eastern oil and gas pipeline businesses, working with a large infrastructure fund on the acquisition of a stake in a US liquefaction business, provision of sellside due diligence for a Nigerian gas distribution business, support to a consortium of pension and sovereign wealth funds in the due diligence of a Mexican gas pipeline business and advising a strategic investor in the acquisition of a US gas and oil pipeline business.
