I’m a problem solving executive with strong roots in design engineering. For over 20 years, my global experience has placed me in senior leadership roles with a number of multinational companies, such as Sunbeam Australia, Dixon Asia Pacific and Leighton Contractors. My current focus is developing globally competitive industrial switch rooms and switchgear solutions for Mayfield Industries, based on understanding the market and how best to solve client needs. The result has seen my responsibilities grow from Manufacturing and General Manager to Chief Executive Officer in just over seven years. Driving the vision for Mayfield Industries has an added dimension, having participated in a Management Buy-out to become a share holder in 2012.Prior to this, I personally directed the transition of manufacturing from Australia and New Zealand to China and Italy as part of Sunbeam’s executive team. Key roles I played included driving the design of over 300 electrical appliances which held design/innovation patents. I went on to setup greenfield sales and global procurement operations across China, Singapore and India for Dixon Asia Pacific.My career began as an Industrial Designer, to then became Director of Design and Project Management with Sunbeam Australia, followed by senior roles at Dixon Asia Pacific and Leighton Contractors. Today as CEO and shareholder for Mayfield Industries, I am dedicated to improving the safety and innovation standards of the industry, for our employees, customers and end-users. I am also dedicated to ensure that our suppliers can contribute to our mission of zero harm and continual innovation. Our strategy to enhance value to customers by being the leader in safety, service and innovation, is a rewarding challenge in a very competitive global environment. It’s a challenge that the Mayfield team is currently winning, evidenced by our growth in sales and continued market expansion.
