I manage NHS England and NHS Improvement's relations with key stakeholders and Parliamentarians across a range of high profile policy areas including mental health, learning disabilities and autism and specialised commissioning. On a day to day basis this involves preparing senior officials for select committee appearances, drafting bulletins to MPs, managing team monitoring responsibilities and running meeting programmes with MPs.I am also a member of the national on call press team, managing communications with journalists outside office hours.

I led on NHS England and NHS Improvement's engagement with MPs, Peers and stakeholders on a variety of high profile areas including learning disabilities and autism, urgent and emergency care and children and young people's health.

I worked in the Parliamentary Affairs team at NHS Improvement where I responded to parliamentary questions and correspondence and provided the organisation, particularly the press team, with political updates relevant to its work with trusts and foundation trusts in the NHS in England. I also prepared briefings and lines for senior staff ahead of meetings and select committee hearings in Parliament.

At Incisive Health, I worked on several public affairs projects with a variety of clients. I created communication plans, offered government affairs advice, and carried out research tasks for the team, whilst providing high level political intelligence. Working with the team, I helped to secure big wins for clients and raise the profile of several healthcare issues in the UK and in Europe.

As a Health Policy intern with Incisive Health, I work on several different public affairs projects with a variety of clients. I communicate with clients and within my team, research the latest developments in health policy and provide support with public affairs campaigns. The role involves being organised and passionate about politics and public affairs. Not only do I have a strong knowledge of politics at Westminster but I am also aware of how health policies are implemented at a local level too.

As an Internal Communications Intern, my role is to help to ensure that there is effective communication between staff and volunteers across the British Heart Foundation. This is achieved through communicating internally within the British Heart Foundation through multiple channels including the intranet, newsletters, staff emails and posters etc. The role involves having creativity, a good eye for a story and advanced written and verbal communications skills.

My responsibilities as a Student Ambassador included communicating well with parents of students and potential students on degrees and University Life at the University of York. I have also worked as a Residential Assistant where I have looked after Sixth Form and High School students whilst they have stayed on Residentials at the University of York. I have also run drama and debating workshops with students at these Residentials. Finally, I have worked on Widening Participation projects at the University of York, working with schools who come to the University and gain a greater idea on University life.
