About Chris Way

Thirty five year oil & gas operations executive with career marine and onshore drilling and production focus. Onshore experience from the western Canadian Sedimentary Basin with various operators, Otway basin with Cultus Petrouem, UK Salfleetby gas field with ROC and in the Cooper Basin with Ampolex and Bridgeport. Offshore experience from shallow to deep water on the Grand Banks, Sable Island offshore Canada, offshore West Africa, China (Beibu Gulf and Bohai Bay), offshore Australia (Bass Strait, Otway Basin, Perth Basin, Carnarvon Basin, Browse Basin and Timor Sea), offshore New Zealand (Taranaki Bight). Initial technical experience in wellsite geology, drilling and completions moving into general management of operations in 2004 with ROC Oil and becoming a co founding Director of Bridgeport Energy in 2009. Since founding Bridgeport have grown company organically and with select production acquisition to a self sustaining business with 30 employees and over 500bopd production in the Cooper Basin.
