CurrentHe has had directorial and management positions in the public, private and voluntary sectors, giving him a unique insight into the different cultures and systems that they represent.Some key landmarks are:• 1969-1973 Head of Humanities/Part-time Youth Worker in Comprehensive School• 1973-1975 National Director of Education for Shelter• 1975-1988 Founder/Director of the first Urban Studies Centre (Notting Dale) in collaboration with the Town and Country Planning Association in 1975 • 1978-1988 Founder/Director of Notting Dale Technology Centre • 1981-1988 Appointed by Kenneth Baker (IT Minister) as National Director to set up the £500 million national ITEC Programme • 1983-85 Appointed by the European Commission to advise on local employment issues involving ICT • 1985-1987 Appointed by the Australian government to both scope and implement an ITEC programme in Australia. • 1981-1990 Chairman of Street Aid in Covent Garden and the Centre for Employment Initiatives in Liverpool.• 1988-1994 Appointed by Margaret Hodge as Chief Education Officer to set up Islington LEA on the dissolution of the ILEA. • 1994-2001 Director of the award winning Cambridge Training and Development Ltd, a pioneering company in the field of ICT and Web enabled education and training.• 1999-2003 Organisational consultant (part-time/contracted) to the University for Industry. • 2001-2005 Managing Director of Era Ltd. - a creative regeneration company• 2002-2003 Consultant to the DfES for E-Learning developments • 2005 -2015 ongoing Education and Business Development Tribal Group: This ten year period has seen Chris involved in; Design and delivery of £25 million Equal Creative Industries project Design and deliveryfor the LSIS STEM programme for post-16 in UK Design and delivery of major EU projects in Turkey and Croatia Design and consultancy support for education/labour market projects in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain Thematic surveys for Abu Dhabi Education Council
