My roles include sales, customer service and liaison, copy writing and editing, SEO, website updates, logo design and financial and general administration. I am continuing to help grow the business and make it more competitive, improving the service we provide and building our market share.

Since joining my wife in the Orcadia Design Partnership I have primarily been responsible for writing and editing (sales proposals, content and SEO) and administration and have also taken on some design and customer liaison work. Since going full time with the partnership in early 2012 I have helped grow the business in various ways, making it larger, more resilient and responsive.

I was responsible for purchasing everything from paper clips to a fleetof 4x4 vehicles in the most efficient and economical way possible. This involved using and rolling out national and local systems to enable us to source in the most cost-effective way possible and standardise wherever possible.

I rolled-out and ran the DATIX risk management computer system on an ongoing basis. This involved setting up the system, training new users and responding to individual incidents, providing statistics and responding to Freedom of Information Act (Scotland) requests. I was also responsible for implementing the Scottish Patient Safety System in several hospital wards and departments.
