About Chris Wiegert
I'm an electrical engineer and on-the-fly problem solver with experience in PCB and circuit design, simulation, analysis, and assembly. I'm looking to apply my skills and gain experience in the aerospace field.I graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Idaho. During my senior year, I was an electrical engineer on a multi-disciplinary Senior Capstone Design team funded by the Idaho Space Grant Consortium and NASA Ames Research Center. We spent nine months developing a simple and affordable alternative to current ADCS solutions to help NASA Ames decrease the costs of experiments for their Technical and Education Satellite (TES) program.By the end of our project, we had developed an ADCS that was 80x less expensive than existing commercial, off-the-shelf systems. Our team and project also won the People's Choice Award for the 2022 University of Idaho Engineering Expo.
