I was an electrical engineer on a multi-disciplinary University of Idaho Senior Capstone Design team, funded by the Idaho Space Grant Consortium and NASA Ames Research Center, tasked with designing and developing an Attitude Determination and Control System (ADCS) for cube satellites focusing on low-cost, readily available components for rapid integration. Client: NASA Ames Research Center• Developed an ADCS system 80 times less expensive than existing commercial, off-the-shelf systems.• Designed and assembled the motherboard and daughterboard for the power, protection, sensor, and control systems of the ADCS.• Researched and evaluated electronic components to meet client specifications.• Performed design reviews, tested systems, and analyzed data to verify current design met client specifications.• Checked circuit connections and verified electrical compatibility and safety of components.• Conducted tests and analyzed data to support required design changes.• Assembled and tested electrical systems using hand tools as well as bench-top and PC-assisted instruments.• Demonstrated understanding of occupation-specific electrical safety standards and procedures.• Awarded the 2022 University of Idaho Engineering Design Expo People's Choice Award
