Chris Wilkinson (BArch March, Dip, ARB, RIBA) is the co-founder and Managing Director of Jo Cowen Architects and has been instrumental in the evolution of the practice’s design output. He has worked on a number of award winning significant cultural projects and has been at the forefront of the practice’s conceptual progression of modern housing design, from bespoke private homes through to large scale multi-unit, mixed use and master-planned schemes.Chris undertakes a lead role in the concept and technical development of all major projects working directly with international and UK based manufacturers. He maintains a close relationship with clients and consultants throughout the design process and takes pride in upholding key project concepts from start to finish. He is constantly looking for new and alternative design perspectives, with a focus on providing efficient and commercially viable proposals that achieve the high design standards of the practice. His approach closely considers both the appearance and performance of buildings, adopting sustainable design strategies and low carbon technologies.
