Chris Will is currently retired, having formerly served as Chief Technology Officer at the Delmia division of Dassault Systèmes SA (SYM DSY/Euronext Paris). Prior to Dassault, he co-founded Apriso Corporation in 1992, where he led services and operations under various executive titles, successfully growing the company over 28 consecutive profitable quarters. In 1999, he led an effort to raise an initial round of venture capital funding to seek global expansion and transform the company into a leadership position in manufacturing software for the world’s largest manufacturers. In 1999, Chris formed the company's R&D group and served as its CTO until the company was sold to Dassault in 2013. Apriso’s flagship product, FlexNet, continues on as a core asset and revenue contributor under Dassault’s Delmia brand. In retirement, Chris continues to serve on the governing and technical boards of the Industrial Ontologies Foundary where he leads the working group to define a core ontology for industrial domains. Chris also serves as a Research Scientist at the National Center for Ontological Research (NCOR) and has coauthored several papers in this regard.Prior to Apriso, Chris held positions in management and engineering in the Information Systems and Advanced Manufacturing Technology departments of Teledyne Industries and Douglas Aircraft (now Boeing Corporation). Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles.
