Since 2001, the Philanthropic Services team have been helping individuals, families and businesses develop and implement strategic philanthropic goals that meet their particular needs. We work with non-profit clients and provide insights and advice on governance, strategy, how to maximise investment outcomes and how to appeal to donors.We regularly conduct and compile research and best practice in the non-profit space and share these findings with our clients. We also present capacity-building seminars and events, which provide educational opportunities for non-profit staff and board members.As a team we are committed to contributing to the ongoing development of the philanthropic and the non-profit sectors in Australia and New Zealand.Key Roles and Responsibilities Promote philanthropy across the JBWere client base and where appropriate, incorporate philanthropic planning into the wealth management strategies of clients; Assist charitable, cultural, sporting and other non-profit organisations in the management of resources utilising sound investment principles to ensure sustainability. This includes helping to establish relationships with potential supporters and generating ongoing support;  Offer a wide range of capacity building for the non-profit sector through our research and our ongoing seminars on issues, trends and opportunities in the sector;  Consult with non-profits on issues unique to each organisation. These consultations may include issues as wide-ranging as the review of the entity’s investment the policy, financial modelling for endowment building or use, and review of mission statement and objectives;  Work with private and public companies to assist them in establishing and managing socially responsible strategies and to build appropriate relationships with philanthropic and non-profit organisations; and Develop and support innovation within the sector to engage more donors, volunteers, investors and governments.
