My career has been spent on the international stage: initially with the UN in SE Asia and during the last 10 years, the USA, Australia and many parts of Africa and Europe. I enjoy engaging with different cultures and learn a great deal from viewing ideas from others’ perspectives. Originally a teacher in the UK, I helped create and expand several international schools in SE Asia -from designing the actual building to creating an international curriculum for the students to follow. Moving to the commercial world in the late 1990's I transferred my 'selling skills' and have worked with clients both large and small as a consultant and run my own successful biotech business which I sold. I now run a property development and estate management company, incorporating long term lets, holiday cottages and land management. Alongside my work I am involved in a family charitable trust – The Estelle Trust- which supports projects in education and sustainable agricultural practises mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa but with some work in the UK. I was also a founding trustee of Malmesbury Primary School Academy and I’m also a Trustee for Rossway RDA where I help people with various disabilities to ride and work with horses. I therefore have a strong understanding of the reporting and operating requirements of schools and charities.
