As Product Support Engineer my goal is to continuously improve the product and serviceability of the product. Our team is always in contact with the field teams to absorb, categorize and filter topics that require improvement, and with design teams to work on the actual improvements. Within our team we strive to be accessible to all levels within the company and make sure we all work as one team to continuously improve.

As Engine Calibration Engineer I support the development of new DAF developed PACCAR diesel engines. PACCAR engines are deployed in a wide variety of applications around the world but mainly trucks of the brands DAF, Peterbilt and Kenworth. Responsibilities include engine testing, data processing and analysis and calibrating and validating the software.

As Vehicle Development Engineer I support the development of new DAF trucks by means of advanced simulations aiming to improve fuel consumption. Simulations are done on vehicle-, system- and component level and are evaluated and further optimized based on analysis results. These simulations and analysis support the development process from the very first concept until final validation of a new truck.

InMotion is a project run by experienced master students, professors and PhD students from Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), who strive to implement the latest innovative technologies into their race car. The goal of InMotion is to beat a Formula 1 car on the track while using clean energy and driving autonomously. In this setup the car still has to be able to finish the 24H of Le Mans. The main purpose of this goal is to show the world what the future of automotive technology looks like and what the Brainport region is capable of. Chris is member of the project and currently working on a solution for the range extender. The IM01 will be a series hybrid system driven by four electric motors capable of generating 6000 Nm of torque and 500 kW continuous direct drive. This will allow the car to drive speeds in excess of 350 km/h. The combustion engine is a diesel type variant using the innovative Partially Premixed Combustion (PPC) principle.
