CurrentResponsible for engines and air intake systems for all vehicle platforms. Establish and maintain formalized working relationships with Navistar MaxxForce and outside vendors such as Cummins and Power Solutions International. Build a new department for Navistar from the ground up and make immediate improvements to managing engine related changes. Select the right people and put together efficient, formalized work processes and documentation for simultaneous development of new engines and vehicles to eliminate the waste traditionally associated with this activity. Improve departmental efficiency by 10% year over year.Management of departmental budgets including hourly spend on programs, outside engineering (OE), material, validation and travel. Pay for Performance analysis for direct employees. Attrition plans, succession plans, etc.Oversight and sign off on all new designs, Design Requirements Documents, dFMEA’s, Statements of Work for outside engineering (OE), Supplier Tooling, etc.Provide departmental engineering, material and validation estimates for all new program charters. Cost and delivery.Mentoring engineers as well as midlevel managers interested in progressing to the next level in their careers. Currently engaged in numerous new product development programs and future engine and drive train strategies. These include medium, heavy, premium vocational, commercial and school bus products as well as export.
