I’m hooked on marketing, sales, and building businesses.But it wasn’t always that way… I stumbled into marketing.I studied sports science, left university, went traveling 🛫 (as every 21-year-old with no idea of what they want to do does), and then launched a personal fitness training company 🏋🏼‍♂️… I say company I rented space in a gym…. and soon realised (after months of no new clients) that in order to build a business you can’t just be great at the thing. You HAVE to understand the marketing and sales of the thing. Having never read a book (apart from Harry Potter 🪄), I started reading marketing and sales books like a madman, blogs, podcasts, courses, coaching, and going to marketing events, I was ALL IN.Soon renting space in a gym, turned into my own facility with an awesome team and a bunch of clients. It was great.Then more and more I started helping other small businesses with their marketing. From coaching and consulting to writing copy, and implementation of Facebook ads and funnels. I exited the fitness business, merging with the gym I used to rent space from, which was a nice circle, and focused purely on working with marketing clients. Alongside my consultancy I work with Business Nitrogen which generally serves clients doing over $1m/year and who want to scale to $10m+. Working as the clients' marketing strategist and really moving towards a fractional CMO role with clients, where we provide leadership within their organizations as well. Some nice highlights include…- A $1m launch with an email list, a webinar and a great offer. - Doubling a company's monthly revenue in 6 monthsOh.. and I always like to have a side project where I test and learn things before applying them to clients.
