The world is powered by software. Whether we're talking about an individual using a product that they love, or a multi-national organization staying on track to meet their performance targets for this quarter, software is what defines the above user experiences.That is why, as a student that loves computers and technology, pursuing my degree in Software Engineering was a no-brainer. Currently, I study at the University of Waterloo in the prestigious Honours Software Engineering, Co-op program, expecting to graduate in 2029. Being a co-op program, I’m eager to apply the skills I possess and that I will learn in real-world environments, whether that is software development, testing, systems architecture, or developing complex algorithms.Over the course of the past few months, I have also completed my second internship with the Department of National Defence and Canadian Cadets Organization, where I helped lead a full-stack cloud software project from idea to prototype in just under 6 weeks and managed a team of junior interns. For my work and leadership, I was awarded the Canada Company Bursary for Cadets and Junior Canadian Rangers, valued at $1000.Beyond software engineering, I also have many hobbies that I explore in my free time. I love playing piano and love music in general, I enjoy badminton, and I like tinkering with various electronics as well. These experiences push me to try new things, even if I may not be already knowledgeable in the field. It is this willingness to learn and open-minded attitude that I hope to demonstrate equally within my professional life.Let’s connect!
