CurrentNorthside Community Resources (NCR) was founded in 1952 as the Rogers Park Community Council. NCR's mission is to build and strengthen communities among the diverse populations of Chicago's North Side.Today, its housing, seniors, fair housing, and immigrant integration programs reflect a diverse client base, with needs that are equally diverse. As our reach now extends beyond the borders of Rogers Park, we renamed the organization Northside Community Resources in March of 2012. Under this new banner, we are re-committed to serving Chicagoans from all neighborhoods. The Northside Community Development Corporation (NCDC), a wholly owned subsidiary or NCR, is HUD Certified Housing Counseling agency which works to foster community development, create and preserve affordable and diverse housing opportunities in Rogers Park and Chicago's north side through education, training, advocacy, counseling and development.NCDC is the premier homeownership housing counseling agency on Chicago’s far North-side. Through a variety of partnerships with private and public agencies NCDC works to provide affordable home ownership opportunities through counseling and innovative programming.
