I was hired to set up and build the new internal Experience Design Team. As with any new team, the role involved both hands-on design work whilst working closely with the CEO and CPO to build out the vision and methodology. The initial engagement focused on delivering methodologies, approach and building out the capability. Traditionally Hipages was not UCD focused and the success of the team depended on driving increased value with minimal overhead on the product development lifecycle.The role included:• The introduction of behavioral research for both sides of the marketplace, including the development of a customer partnership group• Management of the (creative and user experience design) Experience Design Team across all customer touch-points• Development and introduction of key personas across both sides of the marketplace, including current and aspirational personas to help prioritise the roadmap based on segmentation• A complete research study that covered the customer journey end to end of which output fed straight into the strategic roadmap for 2017-2020• Creation of a customer experience manifesto and user experience design principles across offline and online experiences• Creation of standardized digital style guide across all customer touch points• Ownership of product delivery redesign to include UX and UI design across the whole product lifecycleThe Introduction of a ‘Voice of customer platform’ linked to customer personas with a company-wide data visualization to better communicate current customer sentiment -
