The Connecticut Chapter of SMPS (The Society of Marketing Professional Services) was created in 1982 as the Southern New England Chapter. In 2004, we realigned our focus and were renamed to align more closely with our core geographic membership in Connecticut. SMPS CT’s membership includes over 100 professional marketers from all over the state and at all levels and stages of their careers.As part of our Strategic Plan, SMPS CT has launched a task force whose main goal is to expand membership and increase chapter participation by attracting more marketing and technical professionals, including men and women from diverse cultural backgrounds.

The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce’s Business & Education Partnership Advisory Council continues to serve as a link between member businesses and educational leaders from Middlesex County Schools. Their Mission is to facilitate and encourage the development of mutually supportive partnerships between schools and businesses, for the purpose of enriching the educational process for our students, by providing services and opportunities, that assist our schools in preparing them for their future as responsible and productive citizens for our global economy.

Lincoln Culinary Institute, Hartford, CT 2012 – 2014• Manage Northern Connecticut territory by building relationships with 80 high schools• Generate and manage approximately over 1,000 leads annually • Achieved highest start rate in fall of 2013 for team of nine advisors• Excel in recruiting students through classroom presentations, chef demonstrations, college fairs, guidance visits and bus tours.• Book and conduct admissions interviews and lead students through enrollment process• Assist with on-campus events, such as open houses, boot camps and chef battlesLincoln College of New England, Southington, CT 2010 – 2012• Responsible for all out-of-state relationship building, lead generation and enrollment• Managed Northeast territory and generated approximately 800 leads• Reviewed transcripts and essays, conducted student interviews and planned college events
