A DevOps engineer with over 20 years experience in the design and development of e-commerce and SaaS products.Chris is currently the lead software engineer at mesur.io and is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of a cross-platform mobile application as well as its supporting cloud-based microservices and data lake infrastructure. Platforms and technologies in use include AWS, GCP, Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Golang, Python, Databricks/Apache Spark, Scala, Angular/Typescript and REST.Prior to mesur.io, Chris was a DevOps engineer with Newfangled Web, where he built and maintained the cloud-based infrastructure to support web hosting for more than 200 clients. Chris primarily worked in the AWS and Rackspace Cloud environments with LAMP applications running both natively and in Docker containers.Chris' previous position was with Zerve.com, an e-commerce SaaS provider in the tourism industry. Chris was responsible for designing and implementing the LAMP application, as well as building and maintaining the cloud-based infrastructure in AWS.Before Zerve, Chris was a systems administrator and programmer with Student Advantage, where he wrote code for the website in Perl, Lisp, and PHP. Chris also provisioned and maintained over 100 bare-metal servers for both Student Advantage and Collegeclub.com in various data-centers in the greater Boston area.Chris graduated from Boston University with a BA in computer science after spending several years as a linguist in the US Army Reserves.
