Digital engagements range from external and internal penetration testing, wireless testing, reverse engineering and more. As a CISO I was responsible for the Information Security throughout the company, in multiple different countries. Some of my job functions included: - Implementing ISO 27001 based on 27002 and 27003. - Managing risk, including performing risk assessments and risk identification. - Internal employee awareness training - Penetration testing and system auditing. - Vulnerability assessments. - Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning. My daily activities were spread over non-technical and technical challenges, including work with developers and management.

I worked as both operative and personal manager for my team of application engineers and database administrators, a total team of five. My work was mainly technical, but it also contained non-technical tasks such as management reporting, employee reviews and much more. My main focus in this position was to shape my services to provide the best services possible in order to help achieve business and organization goals, visions and objectives. I realized that my teams business function was very much a critical component of the organisations success. My team and I worked hard to provide highly reliable, stable and secure services. Additional tasks were incident handling, security incident and event handling, system and service surveillance and much more.

During my hire with NextGenTel, I was headhunted internally to work as an application engineer. My problem solving and pragmatic attitude was very much needed on the applications team. Being a security oriented person, I saw this as an excellent opportunity to expand my skill set, and learn more about the stack which we try to provide security for. The application engineer position was for systems and services hosted at NextGenTel. This work includes maintaining and ensuring stability on numerous web and applications servers and maintaining proper and adequate security. Maintaining the entire stack, from database, message queue, application server to web server is the main responsibility of this job function. Providing redundancy, high availability and security was key in our successful operation.I established myself to become one of the key resources of the IT department and was appointed several important roles, such as Knowledge Manager, Security Manager and Deployment Manager.

My work function was primarily to develop software for both front-end and back-end systems. I work primarily with Java, Java-EE, Java Server Faces and PHP. A lot of the work involved integrating with databases and other services. This has allowed me to build up a lot of competency with SQL and its respective database engines such as MySQL, MSSQL and Oracle. I really enjoyed the challenges and creativity within the programming sphere.

During the final part of my education, I had to step down working full time to get enough time for studies. I started out working part time as a technical support assistant at the Call Center at NextGenTel. I very much enjoyed helping out our customers and providing them with the best services. I considered it a very big challenge in working with customers and ensuring them a good experience. I also very much cared to take care and fix our internal processes when flaws and discrepancies were found. Working as a technical support, I gained a close relationship with the customers calling in, and this allowed me to quickly and precisely identify up-sales opportunities. This allowed me to hit the top charts of the sales, comparing myself against full time sales employees, and even winning me some prizes.

I did mostly hardware service on laptops, onsite with the customers. Some period of this engagement, I was stationed as technical support team at CSC and Vesta where I handled trivial IT support tasks, did backups and more.

My primary function was manufacturing engine control cabinets, however shortly after being hired I starting doing work at the factory test beds. This was a more demanding and challenging work and involved a lot of debugging and problem solving. I also came up with an idea to increase test performance for new systems in the production line, greatly reducing the errors arriving to the test beds.Analogue and digital signalling, modbus and CAN bus were central in my work.
