Before I launched Bascom & Adams, Adams was the Director of Special Events for United Way of Central Ohio; in addition to managing special events and donor/volunteer relations management, Adams was responsible for concept development and the design and production of a range of projects, including corporate identity programs, annual meetings, marketing communications, public relations, and community outreach. Adams orchestrated significant yearly events, including United Way’s Community Care Day. More than 5,000 volunteers participated in community service projects with nearly $200,000 reinvested into the community. Additionally, Adams was a co-organizer for the donor celebration held at Nationwide Arena. The $250,000 annual appreciation event, attended by 12,000, was sponsored by Nationwide, Wolfe Industries, Worthington Industries, Huntington Bancshares, and Limited Brands. Entertainment included Bill Cosby and Lionel Richie.
