My engagements include SQL Data Warehouse design/build, Reports development, Dashboard development, semantic modeling, and Power BI.

The Clerk was a client of mine prior to his election; I provided voter data, and and consulted regarding makeovers to I.T. and operations. At his request I joined office full-time in a dual role, serving as both CTO and COO.I provided leadership to bring the organization (200 ppl.) through the change of administration, including a plan to re-architect the facility, staffing changes, budget, strategic planning, and meeting state mandates on data interchange.I also served as the Clerk's Liaison to Osceola County Government, holding regular meetings with the County Manager and Deputy County Manager.

Public Records Match (PRM) was a venture-funded startup that provided a very useful B2B search engine and graphic visualizer of corporations, their owners and officers, as well as the second and third degree business relationships among them all. At PRM I was responsible for taking the founder's vision, designing it and building it.This project accomplished four things very well:1. It was a Google-like search engine to a very large data set.2. SQL data set assembled, cleansed, and refreshed from a multitude of data sources (50+).3. Force Directed graphing of people and companies (on the web)4. SEO that was well optimized for long tail searchI worked directly with the owner-investor, and this is what I did:• Developed a Google-like search using SOLR and Lucene• Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL programming• ETL using SSIS (Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services)• Force directed graphing (a type of data visualization)• Full stack web app development• Find, hire and manage software developers

Biziteks was the I.T. consulting company I founded with Steve Sequenzia. We grew rapidly, employing a staff of 12 full time employees, each averaging between 32-40 billable hours per week. As a vCIO to our clients, I was responsible for the I.T. for nearly 100 law firms and more than 100 other companies (non-legal) totaling more than $1B in annual revenue (in aggregate). Biziteks, itself earned over $2mm annually. As a company Biziteks achieved and maintained Microsoft Gold Certification with specialties in Business Intelligence and Advanced Networking. Biziteks was acquired by iVenture Solutions in Q4 2008, and after the sale, I remained with the company until 2010.Biziteks was conspicuously the premiere I.T. support company for law firms in Orlando. This happened through our reputation, mainly. As a form of giving back to the legal community we were the Platinum sponsor for the Association of Legal Administrators.

Combined Billing was a switchless telecom reseller with over 200 employees. In addition to being the I.T. Director, it was also my responsibility to build and manage SQL databases to serve sales and marketing campaigns, oversee the provisioning of new clients, and manage the billing process. I filled the seat of COO as part of a three-person leadership team (alongside the CFO and VP of Customer Service). We were entrusted to run the company for the ownership group.I developed a billing platform that replaced the billing service we had been using (at a cost of nearly $20,000 per month). My billing system submitted to various clearing houses to result in LEC billing of all customer charges. This platform essentially consisted of several ETL and integration solutions with a reporting layer and customer service application.

Prior to my employment, as a consultant (while I was working at Raytheon), I published the newspaper content online, putting all of the listing data into an SQL database: movie times, movie reviews, restaurant reviews, concert listings, and live theater reviews. (Sept. 1993 - Dec. 1997)Later, as an employee I had a dual role. Role #1, I.T. Director: responsible for all I.T. assets, and managing two support technicians. Role #2, Web Developer: development of a custom CMS which dynamically served all of the newspaper content and listings.

I joined Raytheon's I.T. department first as a temp/contractor while on summer break from college, but they offered me full-time employment as a Computer Systems Specialist II. I earned successive promotions, eventually becoming a Business Analyst. For a (then) very young I.T. professional, I was noticeably entrusted with planning for and acquiring all I.T. solutions for business development in the St. Petersburg division, with an annual budget exceeding $1mm.

I was successful at Apple because I was willing and able to do anything to please our customers and potential customers. My work ranged from on-site technical support, whizzy demos, and even training retail staff for Apple's very fledgling retail partner presence. My territory at first was limited to Tampa-St. Petersburg, eventually branching out to Central Florida as well. I worked for Apple part-time while I was still in college at USF. Aside... Does anyone remember AppleLink? I was addicted to it, 2400 bits at a time. (if you know you know)

During these early days of network computing, this was a small, ten person company when I was there. It grew into something really great -- eventually acquired by ePartners. To a large degree, working here planted a seed in me, influencing me eventually to launch Biziteks in 2002. I worked here part-time while I was in college.
