Over the summer, I had the opportunity to work as a Transportation Design Intern at Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc (VHB) in Atlanta, Georgia. Working as part of the Highway Design Team and in collaboration with the Georgia Department of Transportation, I was engaged with highway/roadway reconstruction projects across the state of Georgia. In this position, I utilized MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer to help create in-depth CAD redesigns of high-traffic intersections, roundabouts, and highways.Adhering to GDOT standards and specifications, my work included updating drainage systems and pipelines; creating typical sections of roadways to highlight variations in slope, indicate buffer zones/hinge points, and differentiate between urban and rural road situations; and compiling/labeling crucial roadway and landscape features for official GDOT construction documentation.

I was employed as a Peer Tutor under UGA's Division of Academic Enhancement. I provided individual and group tutoring sessions for Engineering Graphics and Design, Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, and Introductory Physics.

I served as a Peer Learning Assistant in the University of Georgia's Department of Physics and Astronomy. I helped teach the Introductory Physics (PHYS 1211) and Introductory Studio Physics for Engineers (PHYS 1251) courses to undergraduate students by facilitating discussion, answering questions, and teaching concepts.

I had the opportunity to intern for WestRock's Packaging Machinery and Automation division in Atlanta, GA, and worked on designing technical drawings and work instructions for WestRock's next generation of packaging machinery. Utilizing software such as Creo to disassemble and manipulate CAD models, I created detailed views showcasing how various assemblies and subassemblies were interconnected for official company documentation.Outside of work instructions, I developed a deeper understanding of the background processes, planning, and manufacturing that goes into creating products for the food and beverage market through frequent collaboration with other WestRock teams. I also engaged with some of WestRock's Fortune 100 customers, such as Coca-Cola, during Factory Acceptance Testing visits.WestRock has helped foster my love for automation and emphasis on sustainability efforts, and has significantly increased communication, organization, and teamwork abilities.

I served as a TA for sections of my college's Strength of Materials engineering course. I was responsible for grading all homework and quizzes for over 100 students.

Cobb County School District's Office of Events & Strategic Initiatives oversees the planning, design, and on-site management of high-profile districtwide events, such as high school commencement ceremonies, monthly Board of Education meetings, live broadcasts, and leadership events. Through my years working with the Events Office, I had first hand experience with the behind the scenes logistics and management that makes dreams and ideas become reality.The Events Office enabled me to see the scale of events from all areas of production. I frequently engaged in drafting and distributing CAD drawings for venue layouts, managing equipment inventory lists, setting up audio and speaker systems, providing live event support, and engaging with customers to ensure exceptional products that rival industry standards.Heading numerous projects, including renovating the CCSD Board Room and Storage facilities and creating a series of Audio Standard Operating Procedures to assist junior members of the Events Office, I developed invaluable leadership and communication skills that I am excited to apply in my future endeavors.
