Responsible for the implementation and compliance with Norwegian HSE Legislation and the Bredero Shaw HSE Management System as defined by the HSE policy, code of conduct and Level 1 and level 2 Management system documents. Development and implementation of HSE plans and lead driver of HSE throughout Norway’s line pipe and bend production coating facilities.

I am currently employed as a health, safety and environment advisor in the heavy industry sector with a global oil and gas services company. It has exposed me to a variety of different environments and the real life, sensible, practical application of safety engineering engaging with specialist professionals, manual workers and office based populations.

This was a poultry and dairy production/retail facility which supplied over 100 customers with fresh Scottish poultry and dairy products delivering daily throughout East Central Scotland. I was responsible for the smooth operation of all aspects of the business and therefore heavily involved in many health, safety and environmental health aspects. It was noticeable how successfully safety management improved the productivity and efficiency of the business, which in turn led to more efficient productivity and gave the company a structure, which offered enormous improvements. In 2007 with the successful implementation of the industry recognised “cooksafe” system Scotchick complied with all food hygiene regulations set by the environmental health in order to cook, over 1 tonne of fresh meats on site per week and were one of only 11 premises permitted to do so in Scotland.
