Responsible for a team of 60 technical staff, to manage the following technical areas of the company:• Television systems strategy, technical architecture and implementation• Systems infrastructure/engineering within the technical department• Network data mediation (ETL) and data warehousing • Software development & outsourcing of network activation platforms• Resource, service and business assurance systems development• Data centre management• Management of GO’s three Network Operations Centres (NOCs)Main achievements:• Launched GO’s first NFVi platform based on VMware & HPE tech• Launched GO’s business assurance and fraud detection platforms• Introduced Docker as the basis for CI/CD pipelines for s/w dev teams• Launched and awarded wide-ranging RFP for NextGen TV systems• Spearheaded the introduction of GDPR related polices and controls• Delivered two Tier-3 data centres in MaltaReporting to the CTO.

Responsible for the management of all the central TV and multimedia operations for GO plc. This includes digital TV over GO's DVB-T network, broadband streaming and mobile TV streaming. This with the help of a team of dedicated system engineers and technical officers who operate the headend and playout operations centre 24/7.

Research carried out in relation to multimedia systems possibly provided by telcos across various networks, in preparation for a rollout of the TV service offering by the company.

Occupied various positions including that of systems analyst and developer for a number of projects within the Maltacom group subsidiaries particularly those related to video and ADSL projects including the launch of TV pilot projects and ADSL pay-per-use services. I also held the post of I.T. Administrator for company systems as required from time to time and was responsible for the introduction and development of new software tools for the operation of the company. During my tenure at DataStream, and in view of the small team I was part of, I was exposed to a wide variety of technologies particularly related to communication networks as the company invested heavily in latest digital IP equipment during the surge of broadband access in Malta.
