Employed as Manager - ISP Applications Support at Bell Canada from January, 2001 until August 2008. In this role, I performed systems administration and maintenance duties in a Sun Solaris (Unix) environment. This included the initial configuration and set up of servers, as well as troubleshooting issues with them. For the past 4 years my main role has been end-user support of Bell's Domain Name Service (DNS) infrastructure. This function includes troubleshooting domain name problems, configuring new domains, and managing the servers themselves to ensure maximum uptime for our customers. Part of my job over the past two years has been migrating all of our customers domain names (30,000+) from the old infrastructure to a new, more reliable and efficient system. During this process, I have been very involved in making recommendations to upper management on what needs to be done, and what is the best way to get there.

In my role at PSINet I provided front-line helpdesk support for PSINet's business internet customers. Included troubleshooting connectivity (ISDN, T1 Frame, and dialup connections) mail, intranet and WAN issues. Eventually was promoted to 2nd level support where I provided advanced troubleshooting for bigger issues, and trained new employees on the 1st line helpdesk.
