- Designed the Learning & Development strategy for the bank’s transformation from a project/business-case orientation to a platform/product organization. Offered the role of Machine Learning Product Owner by the CCB Chief Data & Analytics Officer. - Inserted as acting Engagement Manager of an 11-person team to stabilize delivery and restore client confidence in a languishing, multi-million-dollar NLP platform that read and analyzed unstructured legal agreements. - Instituted rigorous project management controls to bring structure and predictability (e.g. regular client touchpoints, revamped roadmap and project plan, launch strategy, process mapping, knowledge centralization, optimized workflows, etc.). We met aggressive delivery expectations for 2 stakeholder groups simultaneously and salvaged 2 years of development effort.- Was the sole VP serving on an ED/MD committee to rewrite/standardize the team’s delivery processes. Coded a VBA tool that mapped minimum req’s, ownership, and schedules for any project type, which became the line-of-business gold standard.

- Designed and coded a python-based web scraping app to detect and deliver news alerts to bankers about their portfolio clients. Pitched product to JP Morgan’s COO (Matt Zames) and generated interest among MD’s firmwide about follow-on uses. Saved $10K’s/yr. by developing fully in-house and proved effective against news analytics products costing 10x more.- Pioneered development of several re-usable assets, including a cross-channel communications database (enabling 30+ use cases), and pipelines for accessing/analyzing sensitive correspondence (setting legal, compliance, tech precedents at JPMC).- Turned around a floundering cyber initiative, transforming a partial solution and near-irreconcilable client relationship into a robust technical foundation resulting in significant follow-on work.

- Led a team of 13 analytic and software resources (spanning 3 time zones) in the development of software and MIS analytic solutions for one of the country’s fastest-growing merchant cash advance companies (private equity-backed)- Grew a 7-week pilot opportunity into a 6-month engagement worth several $100,000’s; job completed on time and on budget- Founded an internal, CEO-backed initiative to improve skill/knowledge mgmt. via custom apps, an Intranet, and toolset integration

- Product manager for an integrated analytics platform that operationalizes data science and delivers ongoing business insights- Applied traditional consulting methods and predictive analytics to identify significant savings opportunities in the procurement and marketing functions of a large heavy duty auto parts distributer as well as a Tier 1 Financial Institution

- Collaborated with an experienced team (ex- Oracle, Yahoo!, Apple) to develop a social iPhone game for the restaurant industry - Provided design (wireframes, Photoshop assets/mockups), web development, and PM (scrum master) services

- Led a government-funded initiative to improve high school test scores in physics through immersive car-racing game- In 3 months delivered a prototype with MIT engineers, meeting a critical funding deadline after the project had stalled for 2 years

- Designed a 23-story tower for the world’s largest tensile retractable stadium roof, saving $100K’s through material optimization- Conducted stage-by-stage computer analysis of the launch of a cable-stayed truss bridge across the Mackenzie River in the Northwest Territories, Canada.

Designed several structural components for the Winter Olympics light-rail transit system in Vancouver, BC. Acted as lead reviewer of shop drawings, and resolved coordination problems between the architectural, trackwork, electrical, and structural teams. Conducted foundation site investigations and acted as liaison to contractors.

Head Instructor for the Disabled Sailing Association, accommodating unique physical and/or mental needs. Also Assistant Coach for the competitive youth sailing team, and taught various certified levels of sailing and boat safety to students of all ages.
