Chris joined Go Auto Corporation in 2018 as the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary. Previously he served AutoCanada from 2014 as SVP & CFO until late 2018. Chris also served as the VP and CFO of K-Bro Linen Inc. and from 2007 through 2010 was the VP, Finance, Administration & Tax with Stuart Olson Construction Ltd. (formerly The Churchill Corporation, acquired by Bird Construction).Chris is an experienced finance professional in the capital markets having served for over 15 years as a CFO including 10 years to two different TSE-listed publicly traded companies. Over the course of his career Chris has successfully raised in excess of $4.5B in aggregate from the commercial credit, debt and equity capital markets, as well as having closed over $900M in M&A transactions.Chris holds Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Alberta, a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Arts (Organizational Leadership) degree from Gonzaga University. He is accredited and recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA, FCA), a US Certified Public Accountant (CPA, Illinois and Arizona), a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP). Chris is a member of CPA Canada and CPA Alberta, the Illinois and Arizona State Boards of Accountancy, and the current vice-chair of the Board of Trustees of the University Hospital Foundation. He has served on the Boards of or in leadership positions with organizations including the Edmonton International Airport, City of Edmonton, University of Alberta, Sinneave Foundation, NorQuest College, Goodwill Industries of Alberta, Alberta Cancer Foundation, and the Lifesaving Society, as well as other professional organizations and committees throughout his career. Chris is also accredited as a Certified Director (ICD.D) by the Institute of Corporate Directors and holds the Sustainability and ESG (GCB.D) certification issued by Competent Boards. He was awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022 and is a proud husband of 19 years to Leah Burrows and even prouder father of a very active daughter.
