I'm happiest building teams, leading change and creating a culture of trust and success.I wanted to be a marine biologist the moment I saw Richard Dreyfuss' character in Jaws. Matt Hooper was the coolest.Fast forward thirty years and I found myself in the Pacific Northwest leading a multi-site aquaculture nutrition business with three production plants, multiple sales offices, 200+ employees and a 250ft ocean freighter.Progressing through technical, product, sales, general management and P&L responsibility I’ve had the privilege of building, leading and working with great teams.We exceeded financial budgets, implemented lean manufacturing processes achieving seven figure efficiencies and consolidated and re-branded an acquired US nutrition business.Matt Hooper was still cool but I had discovered my true passion:FEEDING A GROWING GLOBAL POPULATION IN A HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE WAY.Then Merck called.The opportunity to challenge myself, grow my skill set and work for one of the world's most respected science-based companies was just too good to turn down.
