Traditional Filmmaking is extremely different than immersive filmmaking. This is one of the many reasons I created Mastering360. It is a valuable community where filmmakers learn everything there is about creating stories in this new space. Comprehensive 2-day workshops and online courses offer an in depth step-by-step breakdown of the 360˚ filmmaking process; from pre-production to distribution. The Workshops provide theory and hands-on-training that empowers those who are passionate about creating impactful live action immersive experiences. Over the past 5 years I have developed 360˚ cameras and produced hundreds of experiential videos for brands like the Vancouver Canucks, BC Lions, Disney, Mercedes Benz, and Facebook. I am also the creator of the groundbreaking travel series VR Wonders of the World. The Workshops and Online Courses will arm future immersive filmmakers with the knowledge, tools, and skills required to create 360˚ videos. There is a strong emphasis and focus on how to use this new and exciting medium to tell impactful stories that can better shape the world around us through perspective. The educational material includes, but not limited to, instruction on hardware, software, stitching, which 360 camera to buy, theory, visualization, storyboarding, understanding the technology limitations & advantages, difference between virtual reality and 360˚, plus a lot more. By the end of the workshop all students will have participated in the creation of a short 360˚ immersive video. Upon completion, students will also receive a certificate.
