As a lead technical engineer, I am involved in the design, implementation and support of a variety of government based big data solutions. My main responsibilities involves supporting the customer and providing analytical solutions within the area of Enterprise Search for unstructured / semi-structured and structured data as well as implementing service orientated solutions for speech, video and image analytics. I lead a small team that works with developing custom software in an ever changing landscape whilst enjoying the great opportunity of working with cutting edge technology.

During my time at a US Air Force Satellite Ground Station I have worked my way up from a site systems operator, through to Senior Technician and finally was assigned as Satcom Supervisor by the age of 26.The sites mission was the capture and relay of telemetry from a vast array of space vehicles including the shuttle and ISS. As technical lead for 40 site engineers, I directed troubleshooting efforts, documented technical procedures,managed site engineering processes and ensured 100% circuit operations. In addition, I was DISA (Defense Information System Agency) coordinator where I liaised with the agency to ensure site compliance with operational procedures. Not satisfied with just telecommunications, I was also the IT System Administrator for site operational systems. Part of this role was to generate the sites IA compliance processes. Other duties included cryptography, secure comms and maintenance of encryption systems.
