I am commercial re-engineer. I have a passion for changing how businesses behave by aligning entire organisations around delivering sales targets, something I call commercial re-engineering. Selling is part of my DNA. In 35 years I have built up a wealth of sales and related experience. My career began as an all important Sales Rep for Coca-Cola where I learnt the power of good selling techniques and the need for robust customer relationships. Since then I have gone on to hold many senior commercial positions at Coca-Cola, BAT and Grey Advertising Group, where the principles of good selling have been a foundation for driving growth and realising healthy bottom-line and topline improvements. The last 16 years have been spent building up one of the loves of my life, PACH Solutions, a management consultancy. We have helped many blue chip companies and iconic brands go-to-market and deliver business growth by building and implementing improved- Commerical & Sales Strategies, - Routes to market, - Trade and channel segmentations- Selling approaches, - Ways to engage customers, and - Activation tool kits. I love the process of discovery, digging deep to work out why a business is struggling, piecing together a workable and sustainable solution, and then empowering client teams to deliver. I think commercial & sales strategies should be simple and easy to understand, and above all actionable. I do this by turning the process of developing strategy on its head and building from the bottom up. I have the ability to take complex business processes and situations, and make them simple by visualising them in a logical and connected way, often on a single page. One of the joys of running a consulting business is you come into contact and interact with a breadth and depth talent within diverse organisations. Staying in contact with many of these people has enabled me to foster my passion for coaching and mentoring. Life without fun and purpose is a life wasted, so whether I am playing golf, or helping my clients solve business problems I do it with optimism and a desire to make it happen as quickly as the system allows with the best result possible.
