I was the first point of contact for thousands of supporters of the NSPCC. I retained donors who wish to cancel their donations through telephone fundraising. I also plan, design and deliver training sessions to the Supporter Care and other fundraising teams (most recently the Legacy and Tribute team). I designed and led a session for our recent Participation Day for 4 young people. Every interaction should be the absolute best that the supporter can have, and I endeavour to tell stories through conversations, letters and emails, so that each of our supporters leaves that contact knowing something new and inspirational about our work and services.

Responsible for the design and delivery of quality and attrition focussed training modules for face-to-face fundraisers. Adhering to PFRA guidelines, my role was to train and inspire new members of staff through the design and delivery of two-day training modules in line with the company’s ethical policy and client expectations. Designed and delivered Team Leader training modules and materials to identify and develop talented fundraisers in the field. During 2010 and 2011, in addition to my role as Training Manager, I voluntarily took on the responsibility of running the recruitment department at Real Fundraising. I trained and managed 3 recruitment staff, designed all recruitment documentation, streamlined interview techniques and operated as a recruiter across all operations where necessary in order to keep the company to financial targets. I was also responsible for managing the company’s advertising budget throughout this period, and began and maintained successful relationships with advertisers and recruiters during this time.

Primarily worked on campaigns for the RSPCA, and the British Red Cross. Involved daily face-to-face contact with members of the public, daily motivation and coaching of individual fundraisers, and the introduction and training of advanced techniques to maintain high standards of quality across my teams.

Responsible for sourcing prospective candidates for junior to director roles in the Australian build commercial construction industry via bespoke advertising and direct-sourcing. Involved thorough interview process and the subsequent writing of detailed, industry specific CV’s and the taking of detailed references to package and present the candidate to a prospective employer. Also involved regular client meetings to begin and maintain successful relationships and grow business long-term through successful recruitment. Ran a commercial team of three consultants for 6 months from July 2008 to January 2009 a period in which the office broke its revenue record. Subsequently responsible for training one further consultant and assisting with the establishment of a brand new Rail sector.

Responsible for managing the state of Victoria and the performance of up to 5 teams of fundraisers. Involved recruitment and training of all staff to fundraise for our client- The Cancer and Bowel Research Trust. Responsible for coordinating teams at separate city locations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, travelling to each site to motivate Group Managers and their teams to deliver daily and weekly targets. Also responsible for Group Managing and fundraising with my staff to ensure that these targets were achieved.

Primarily worked on campaigns for Medecins Sans Frontieres, Amnesty International, and the Cancer Council (NSW). Involves daily face to face contact with members of the public, daily motivation and coaching of individual advocates, and the introduction and training of advanced sales techniques (including NLP and Brava), to achieve daily and weekly targets.

Necessitated the regular telephone, and face-to-face interview of candidates, combined with detailed vacancy specifications gained from continuing client meetings and communication. Involved direct sourcing and executive search to locate potential senior candidates, and the composition and writing of CV’s and placement of advertisements for vacancies, both in bi-monthly construction publications, outsourced web-sites, and specific industry releases.
