Chris has over 20 years’ experience in the Civil Engineering, Highway and Transport Planning industry, and, as a founding Director of The Safety Forum and Modal Data Limited, has demonstrated his wide knowledge and experience of the industry.As a Director of RGP, Chris is responsible to many private and public sector clients generally in connection with a variety of development projects often involving complex transport studies ranging from small developments to major urban extensions.Chris has appeared as an Expert Witness at Public Inquiries relating to planning appeals, Examinations in public as part of the Local Plan process and Highway Stopping-up Inquiries. Chris has also been called as an Expert Witness by the Health and Safety Executive in a Crown Court case, assisting the Jury with regard to the Road Safety Audits.Most recently, Chris has been responsible for a advising on all transport planning aspects relating to a major urban extension of Canterbury, involving 4,000 residential units and complementary land uses. Chris successfully negotiated agreement with all stakeholders leading to a resolution to grant planning at the recent Committee.
