I promoted knowledge exchange and service provision from the world-class research, services and expertise of UEA to external organisations of all kinds in the digital, creative and heritage sectors. I was responsible for reinforcing existing relationships and establishing new relationships outside the Higher Education sector to : - increase the levels of knowledge exchange out of UEA, - generate increasing real world impact from our work, and - encourage licensing, consultancy, graduate careers and funded research opportunities.Through new partnership development and strategic realignment of the UEA’s role within key sectors I: built and maintained a series of strategic partnerships; played a key role in unlocking major new collaborative funding awards; supported economic, environmental and societal development through collaboration particularly within the East of England; was central to UEA’s outstanding performance in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework, in particular in ranking 4th for Arts and Humanities nationally.As part of my role I was also: - A Director of the UEA Publishing Project (https://www.ueapublishingproject.com/) - Member of the UEA People and Culture Strategy Group

I led on commercial consultancy for the Adapt Low Carbon Group at the University of East Anglia. I oversaw all of Adapt's commercial consultancy projects undertaken by the 30+ Adapt staff, UEA academics and external consultants.

Responsible for managing key projects and client relationships for the UEA Low Carbon Innovation Centre.

Managed a £1m portfolio of innovative carbon reduction project investments. My role included partnership development, negotiating investment terms and managing / evaluating project delivery.

Selected as a Fellow by the Norfolk Charitable Trust for their 2007 International Fellowship Tour, visiting Bhutan, Brazil, China, Japan, Mexico and USA to study 'International Perspectives on Climate Change'

- Environmental consultant working on various Environmental Assessments.- Project co-ordinator for the Environmental Assessment for the proposed Norwich Northern Distributor Road, a £90 million scheme.- Managed an Environmental Management System (EMS) for an office of 50 people- Six month secondment to the Norfolk Coast Partnership managing a number of projects, each carried out by different consultants. Commended for my work in their end of year report.
