An experienced manager with a long track record of building successful, long term, strategic partnerships, project delivery, new funding generation, innovation, investment and Directorship. I am a sustainability professional having worked for over 10 years in consultancy, investment, research and management roles across corporate, public and private sectors. Currently I am General Manager at Opergy Net Zero, one of a collection of small high growth companies that make up the Opergy Group, focused on supporting business growth across a range of clean energy and energy transition sectors together with future Net Zero energy solutions. My past sustainability/environmental projects have included development of IT based systems to evaluate environmental performance, environmental and energy strategies for new housing developments, environmental assessments for new road schemes and an innovative, ground-breaking smartphone app (AshTag) to engage the British public in tracking ash dieback disease.I worked for 16 years in Higher Education at the interface between academia and non-academic partners, most recently as a Relationship Manager for the University of East Anglia making connections and developing partnerships between the University and organisations in the digital, creative and heritage sectors. Through new partnership development and strategic realignment of the UEA’s role within key sectors I have: played a key role in unlocking major new collaborative funding awards; supported economic, environmental and societal development particularly within the East of England; been central to UEA’s outstanding performance in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework, in particular in ranking 4th for Arts and Humanities nationally.I have strong leadership, people management and communication skills including public speaking to large audiences and media appearances, and a proven record in delivering major funding successes and managing a wide range of projects and programmes across different industries and countries.
