I am an experienced business professional with a proven history in online media, ecommerce, digital marketing, and sales. I have a passion for data and a desire to solve problems through innovation, creative thinking, investigation, and knowing how to ask the right questions. My background in education serves me well in understanding how best to communicate information.In November I completed the Google Data Analytics Certification course and began a journey toward a field in data analytics. My unique and diverse background provides me with a handful of soft skills that are a seamless fit in the data analytics industry. My experience in marketing and as a writer has helped me develop a clear ability to identify the problems or questions a stakeholder has and find ways to communicate solutions with them. Sales taught me how to break through objections, track critical KPIs, engage with customers one-on-one, and analyze customer needs to find the right solutions. I’ve managed a team of 15 people in sales, and most recently 10 direct reports in a writer’s room where site metrics, SEO, and timely and relevant stories were a critical part of our business’s success. I generated 8,000-12,000 weekly site views through content I generated for the site. I led a podcast team that grew our audience by nearly 150% over the course of a year and hit or exceeded all our advertising revenue goals. I am skilled in SQL, Excel for data analysis, Microsoft Office, Tableau, and have a basic working knowledge of R. I also have experience in basic graphic design and web development.Most critical to my value as an employee is my desire to be constantly growing and improving. I plan to begin learning Python in the coming months and adding additional tools to my arsenal as a data analyst that can make me a valuable member of any team I am a part of.
