At AltoIRA, my time as Principal Engineer has been marked by a strong focus on leadership, fostering collaboration, and driving impactful results. My contributions include:- DevOps Innovation: Led the creation of a CI/CD pipeline, enhancing deployment efficiency with technologies like Terraform, AWS S3, CloudFront, and GitHub Actions. This allowed for parallel preview deployments, revolutionizing our React frontend development process.- User Experience and Workflow Enhancement: Guided a team to develop an intuitive frontend workflow for bank users, streamlining account creation and fund transfers with AltoIRA. The React frontend we developed seamlessly integrated with an Elixir REST API, bolstering user engagement and operational efficiency.- Mobile App Development Leadership: Directed the end-to-end development of a React Native application, successfully launched in the Android Play Store and iOS App Store. Created a comprehensive CI/CD process and slack-integrated build delivery system for both platforms that would build the apps on Github Actions runners, and facilitate seamless app store deliveries. Enabled the installation of several environment-specific versions of the app on a device at the same time, enhancing testing and QA experience.- JAMstack Architecture Implementation: Spearheaded the deployment of four applications using JAMstack, involving public and private React frontends with Node.js APIs via a serverless AWS architecture. My leadership in developing the serverless stacks and deployments through Terraform and Github Actions led to the achievement of full-stack preview environments (including independent versions of the database per PR), optimizing the feature testing process and reducing QA dependencies.My time at AltoIRA has been a blend of technological innovation and team-driven success. Serverless Inc enables developers to do more and manage less. I was responsible for building and maintaining our Enterprise product which helps organizations with security, governance, secrets, best practices, intelligent insights, and more for serverless architectures. I contributed to the development of our enterprise backend services as well as the frontend interfaces. My role at Serverless was the most challenging yet in terms of how fast we moved. We were shipping features every two weeks and I was surprised to discover what I was capable of producing. The major things I learned in this position were what it means to be a senior developer as well as how to be vocal about the feasibility of product deadlines and product direction.

In this position I lead a team of mobile developers delivering mobile application solutions for RV maintenance, shopping, and trade show information.My team has developed three mobile applications using React Native and several custom native modules for iOS and Android. This postion required me to take on many responsibilities and taught me a lot. I would begin each day with a few things I wanted to finish and work these goals in with other things that would come up throughout the day. I would frequently interact with clients whether over the phone, via email, or in person. I was responsible for not only building software, but also educating people on how their software worked. I enjoyed justifying my development decisions because often I would get invaluable feedback to improve efficiency. In this position, I had several projects to manage at once so I would often switch gears from designing a new feature to debugging an existing one in a different project and programming language. I would manage these context switches by making "sticky notes" on what I was thinking when I left a task. However, this position wasn't all programming, I would also take time some days to do a lot of reading. I would look for emerging technologies or trends that might benefit V3 or any of our clients. One project required me to learn way more than I ever wanted to know about PCI compliance, but now I know a good bit. I learned a lot about communication, multi-tasking, e-commerce, and self-discipline at this postion with V3 Media Group.

As a kid, I worked for my dad who owns his own construction business. I put this on here as evidence for work ethic.I had two positions in this family business. I was a general laborer that involved framing houses, landscaping, job site cleanup, and I operated heavy machinery.The second position was as a web developer because my dad was nice and let me practice on his dime.
