Working with communities to create temporary and longer term interventions that activate urban spaces in innovative ways. Based in South London, Reading, Southend-on-Sea and Derby, these projects draw on a range of approaches, for example, temporary art interventions, urban growing, events and 'traffic calming' measures that lead to the reclamation of underused space and traffic dominated road corridors. Ultimately these projects aim to strengthen social ties help improve physical and mental wellbeing, whilst creating exciting, robust and sustainable places.

An artist led project using large scale moving images based on manipulated fragments of original wildlife film footage. Fleeting glimpses of rare and endangered animals were rear-projected across windows at the M Shed museum in Bristol. Lasting for a couple of seconds, or just a fraction of a second (like an animal seen for a moment in a forest) the images suggested symbolically suggests the fragility and vulnerability of these species. The project was funded by Arts Council England and ran in partnership with Wildscreen.

Working as a chartered landscape architect across a range of projects including the creation of large scale sustainable urban drainage new wetland habitats, creation of new parks and town centre urban regeneration projects.

Working as a chartered landscape architect across on a wide range of projects with established landscape design practices on a freelance basis. Projects included significant design input for a major urban forest park in Chongqing in China, providing a 'green lung' at the heart of a proposed new urban extension, designed to house more than 3 million people.

Watermarks is a public art project that explores rising sea levels. Flood level marks were projected on to the front of buildings, showing how high water levels could potentially rise based on current predictions (and also explores more extreme, worst-case scenarios). By displaying these levels in real space, the project aimed to help the audience imagine the depth and extent of this potential future flooding – allowing us to measure the possible future water levels against ourselves in familiar environments. Watermarks was supported by Arts Council, England and the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research.

My experience at NPA includes major urban regeneration projects, lighting design and public art/landscape design input for projects including a new medical research facility at Imperial College. Also substantial work on integrating urban sustainable drainage systems into new urban extensions - that reconcile the ecological with the functional and aesthetic.
