I'm a goal-oriented IT professional with a detailed history of working within a team framework, communicating with key stakeholders, processing complicated information, and ensuring projects and assignments are delivered on time and within budget. Although originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, I later pursued my associate degree at Howard Community College. Soon afterward, I went to New York to pursue my bachelor's degree in Computing and Information Technologies (CIT) from Rochester Institute of Technology. After making Dean's List twice and maintaining a high overall GPA, I graduated in May 2020. I've struggled with hearing loss my entire life—but I've taken that disability, learned how to adapt, and became an overcomer. It's in my nature not to concede defeat—I guess you could say. I'm also deeply interested in computers and learning new and clever ways to use technology to better everyone's lives.I am interested in Cyber Security for those exact reasons. I have a history of prioritizing tasks, creating and/or adhering to timelines, adjusting to changes, and/or predicting those changes and planning accordingly. I'm adept at identifying small details and pivoting and making alterations—or thinking larger scale and implementing sweeping changes where needed. I ultimately see myself becoming a Security Operation Center (SOC) in the coming years. I'm also keenly interested in cybersecurity. However, I'm currently envisioning building on all my prior experience and budding skill set to obtain an entry-level role in IT, Security Operation Center.
