Worked on the CMBS special servicing team and managed a portfolio of non-performing or matured loans, which included retail, multi-family, office, industrial and hospitality property types. Responsible for loan workouts on defaulted loans, or foreclosing on the property. Prior to joining the CMBS team, worked on a team managing multi-family properties and bonds. Responsible for the resolution and loss mitigation for a portfolio of properties comprised of company sponsored funds. Portfolio included securitized bonds that were part of a joint venture with Freddie Mac. Researched market data, prepared discounted cash flow models, and reviewed third party reports, property inspections, and property financials.

Managed $150MM portfolio of commercial properties (Office, Industrial, Hotel and Multi-Family) for a publicly traded REIT, conducted site visits, communicated with borrowers, researched market data, prepared construction draws and reserve disbursement requests, prepared discounted cash flow models, reviewed third party reports, reviewed leases, assisted with a triple net lease portfolio, assisted with lease negotiations, worked with internal and external legal counsel.

Loan underwriter for the CMBS group. Property types included multifamily, retail, office, and industrial. Reviewed appraisals, property condition reports, environmental site assessments, and other third party reports, worked with closing department and legal counsel, presented cases to loan committee, conducted site visits, worked with management to improve underwriting guidelines, communicated with potential borrowers, performed market research.

Managed $400MM portfolio of commercial properties (Industrial, Retail and Multi-Family), reviewed loan documents and servicing agreements, prepared lease abstracts, prepared reserve disbursement requests, performed escrow analyses, spread financials, worked with Cook County government on tax issues for large Chicago development.
