As a Water Treatment Supervisor, my accomplishments include overseeing and facilitating contracted works across 130+ sites (enhancing the contract to boost profitability), supporting the Contract and Operations Managers, training and developing the service team (including auditing their paperwork and logbooks), and working with the Administrative Team and Contract Manager to delegate duties to the Environmental Services Team. During my 5 years as a Water Treatment Technician, I have successfully delivered diverse water treatment and hygiene services including pre-commission and remedial cleaning of process water systems, legionella risk assessments, commissions, boiler/cooling water treatment programmes, water analysis and consultations. I collaborated with plumbers and electricians to commission and maintain industrial/commercial/private sector equipment, provided staff with training and guidance on water treatment products/services/duties, and troubleshot/repaired complex water treatment equipment, providing quote estimates. I was Project Manager for GM Luton, and ensured outstanding communication, safety and leadership. Other duties included service visits for various systems (chilled water, central heating, cold water, water softeners, cooling towers and steam boilers), installing and commissioning chemical dosing pumps and softeners, acid descaling on cooling towers and calorifiers, and water hygiene monitoring. In addition, I oversaw the clean and chlorination on cooling towers and cold water storage tanks, implemented correct use of dosing rigs/pumps in in-line disinfection of mains water services, and ensured correct use and tuning of controllers on cooling tower systems to optimise system operation safety.
