I am a founding member and attorney with Haberl, Buell & Rice, PLLC, where I have a general civil practice focusing on oil and gas, real estate, civil litigation, and corporate matters.In my oil and gas practice, I represent clients with respect to various land issues, including asset purchases and sales, title review and certification, contract review and preparation, and disputes and litigation.I also regularly represent clients in civil litigation, real estate matters, corporate formations and counseling, and estate planning and administration. I have been named a Rising Star by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® from 2012 through 2022.

I counseled and represented oil and gas and coal operators with respect to land and leasing issues, royalty disputes, and development disputes, including reviewing and certifying titles in counties throughout western Pennsylvania.I also represented individuals and businesses in various kinds of civil litigation in Indiana County and surrounding areas, including construction defect claims, property disputes, collection matters, contract claims, and other cases.I also represented in real estate sales and purchases, contract review and preparation, corporate formations and counseling, and estate planning and administration.

I was an associate in the Litigation Services Group at Babst Calland, where I focused my practice on oil and gas, maritime and commercial litigation.In my oil and gas work, I represented exploration and production companies and other energy industry clients in a variety of litigation matters in the Marcellus Shale play. My experience included representing clients in quiet title litigation, leasing disputes, toxic tort and property damage claims, and municipal ordinance issues.In my maritime work, I defended towing companies against claims under the Jones Act and Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act and for marine property damage.I also represented a variety of clients in commercial and construction cases, including mechanics' liens/payment disputes, construction defect claims, contract disputes, and business torts.
