Software engineering manager trying to grow myself and those around me. As far as languages / tech stacks goes, I'm pretty flexible, having done mostly full-stack work across my career, and I'm always willing to learn new tech to get the job done. In recent years, this has largely been Java / Python / C++, but in past lives, this has been Ruby / Go / O'Caml.In a life even before that, I did my Ph.D at UCSB, focusing on how to leverage then-nascent cloud environments to perform open and repeatable science, which we open-sourced and supported both in a university environment and startup. I also did programming there on unique infrastructure deployments (GPUs and the PS3's Cell architecture), simulating classical and quantum physics.
