• Administer Municipal Harbor Planning public and regulatory process in accordance with state Waterways and Harbor Planning regulations. • Review and comment on waterfront and harbor related projects subject to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act and Article 80 of the City’s zoning code.• Work with City, state and federal agencies, community and civic groups, environmental advocacy organizations and commercial organizations on waterfront redevelopment opportunities.• Coordinate with municipal and state agencies on waterfront project permitting and oversight through a Chapter 91 interagency work group.• Manage grant programs and projects related to water transportation infrastructure, flood hazard areas, ecological restoration and public realm improvements.• Assist in development of climate change resiliency policy and city-wide waterfront planning initiatives.

• Review all wetland permit filings and technical documents submitted to the Commission under the state Wetlands Protection Act and administer Commission public hearings. • Draft wetlands permits, enforcement orders, project review comment letters and all Commission correspondence. • Conduct pre-construction meetings and project site inspections to review environmental mitigation measures and ensure permit compliance. • Advise and provide recommendations to commissioners and Mayor’s Office staff on wetland permitting and land conservation issues.• Represent the Commission at regional and state environmental advisory committees and technical working groups. • Coordinate with municipal and state agencies on environmental permitting, project oversight and enforcement actions.• Respond to public and private inquiries regarding wetland regulations, flood hazard areas, wetland resource areas and Commission procedures. • Assist with the management of 90 acres of Commission owned conservation land and oversee conservation restrictions held by the Commission.
