Career Employment And Information Specialist
Current* Network with community based agencies when attending various workshops, conferences and training opportunities to familiarize myself with the services and supports provided which could benefit our clientele * Lead City initiative PAYE (Partnership to Advance Youth Employment) locally by recruiting appropriate candidates, developing syllabus, delivering informational workshops and tracking progress/outcomes* Facilitate Employment Centre workshops such as Resume Development, Interview Skills and OW Programs and Services ensuring participants clearly understand presented information * Promote City initiatives and opportunities (i.e. PAYE, IIN, JIP) while accessing EASI and ESP to identify clientele life and employment goals in order to make quality referrals* Utilize active listening and exceptional interpersonal aptitude to establish and foster effective relationships with diverse clientele in accordance with MFIPPA guidelines* Advocate on behalf of clients’ for services in areas of career opportunities, life skills, education, health, comfort, housing and community support systems while updating, revising and prioritizing service plans* Develop and maintain professional relationships with community based agencies and organizations in order to identify partnership opportunities for City initiatives services and supports provided that will assist our clientele* Review and evaluate programs and services offered by TESS as part of continuous improvement and development
